Winger Charly Musonda is likely to leave Chelsea at the end of this season to join Roma.

Conte talked about President Abramovich selling Chelsea

Charly Musonda, 25, has been with Chelsea since 2012, as an academy player. However, after 10 years of striving, he still could not get into the first team. Musonda’s contract with the Stamford Bridge team will expire in June and according to Musonda announced in December last year, he will leave on a free basis at the end of the season.

Musonda wants to leave Chelsea to find a starting opportunity.

Goal revealed, coach Jose Mourinho is very interested in this player. He believes that Musonda’s speed and cunning will make Roma’s attack stronger. However, the Italian capital team will face a big obstacle called Real Betis, the team that used to own Musonda on loan. In addition, Hellas Verona also wants the signature of the Belgian player.

At the age of 25, Musonda certainly needs a new step in his career and going to Italy is a wise move, as teammate Tammy Abraham did earlier this season. Accordingly, after being unable to compete for the starting position at Chelsea, Abraham joined Roma for a transfer fee of 40 million euros.

The England striker has now scored 15 goals in Serie A this season, equaling his best tally in a league season (15 for Chelsea in 2019/20). If counted in all competitions, Abraham has a total of 23 goals, breaking the record for most goals for Roma in his debut season. Previously, both Vicenzo Montella and Gabriel Batistuta held the record with 21 goals in their debut seasons for Roma. And of course, with the season two months to go, there are many records still waiting for Abraham to break.
